There was a long research to final all our Performance Series engineering affords of the past with a not than less than a real High End 6.5“ Midbass in order to lead and represent the EXCURSION brand together with our PX-1S Tweeter and PX-3M or PX-4M Midrange into the next chapters of future and ahead of the called „Rest“.
 
But when we were done with that, we realized that we were overly motivated for some of our loyal customers with our "German engineering" and the PX Top series. The step up from the SHX to the PX series is already a house number too big for a simple improvement of existing EXCURSION systems and some of our customers. It must be said that this dilemma gave rise to the idea of another series between SHX and PX. From the genes of both parents, it should become the REFERENCE in the brand architecture of EXCURSION in the future and supplement this with the abbreviation RX of the SXR subwoofer series.

With RX or REFERENCE, we were now able to design an engineering from top to bottom for the first time. Question the luxury factors of the PERFORMANCE series with the spirit of a housewife and set the table with the simplest possible recipe, but extremely tasty. The RX formula then turned out to be even easier than expected and can be summed up as PX minus 3 building blocks but and only from the mid-bass speaker. With a super-expensive PX high-technology cone made of carbon/PMI/glass fiber, the idea of replacing it with our very light and vital wool fiber membrane from the SHX series was absolutely obvious and was already more than halfway to the goal. The double resonance-reducing hammer finish of the basket was the next logical consequence and the rest of the finish line with a total savings potential of around 45% was achieved with the chrome of the motor parts. You could also reduce the difference to just the transformer, which the cone will always be, and see the exciting result as the SUPER SHX SERIES. This with SUPER more motor power, SUPER high-quality centering, SUPER better passive components, 14GA tinned OFC wiring and 2Ohm Technology.  

Since we are now really enthusiastic about this solution and the RX Formula, the question arose as to what would happen if we made the whole thing one step bigger, in particular the demand for 8"/20cm woofers and especially with even more power is increasing. The first hurdle here was that the basket with our EXCURSION 1:1 specifications in 8" doesn't exist and we didn't want to make a compromise like we did with the SHX-8M. Which means we had to build and design suitable tools for the production of an exclusive 8" EXCURSION basket. Also, we didn't want to take over only the engine of the 6.5" like with the SHX-8M, but think more sophisticated, independent and even bigger with the RX-8M and that's how it became First of all, the coil diameter was adjusted relative to the larger membrane diameter of an 8"/20cm, which means an adjust from 1"/25.9mm to 1.2"/30.5mm bigger diameter, which of course reflect in a higher power handling. A lot more Power was requested and not just because we expect a lot more Output from the doors from an 8" size and so in the end result we can talk about a doubling of performance compared to the 6.5" because the motor diameter has grown from 80mm to a proud 110mm.

But that's not all and we kept asking ourselves what if we were to equip such an 8"/20cm machine as an audiophile coaxial with a sophisticated silk dome tweeter? There are actually no comparisons on the market, but for the traditional 6x9" customer, for example, a high-end and high-output 8" coaxial is the modern upgrade and the qualitative full-range alternative. Customers may also be interested from the growing and popular PRO AUDIO market, where the 8"/20cm size is the standard, and so a RX 802 coaxial would be the bridge to the CAR AUDIO market. In addition, our considerations to further develop our popular but aged coaxial silk dome tweeter were already at the table and so it was now time to roll up our sleeves and also implement this goal of an RX 802 hand in hand with the development of the RX 8M in order to occupy and settle a new niche.

De middentoner van MAD is gemaakt om luid te zijn en jarenlang mee te gaan. We willen jou en je voertuig helpen om zo luid mogelijk te zijn. Daar hebben we voor gezorgd door innovatieve en baanbrekende technieken te gebruiken die de duurzaamheid verhogen.

NEXT LEVEL LUID
Klaar om een standpunt in te nemen? De MAD PM2 midrange drivers zijn er om te blijven en om iedereen te laten zien hoe luid je kunt zijn. SPL is niet zomaar een paar midrange drivers en hoorntweeters die de buren in de buurt wakker maken, het is een levensstijl! Als je klaar bent om de volgende stap te zetten in de wondere wereld van SPL, dan is dit het product voor jou.

WE HEBBEN SPL GOED LATEN KLINKEN
Groter is beter, zo is het gewoon. De grotere en krachtigere magneet creëert drivers voor het middenbereik die HEEL VEEL geluid kunnen produceren. Als je die volumeknop tot het maximum gaat aanzwengelen, wil je dat het goed klinkt. Speciaal hiervoor hebben we een koperen kortsluitring toegevoegd die de vervorming verlaagt, omdat we om je oren geven! SPL is een levensstijl zoals we al zeiden, dus zodra je je eerste paar PM2 hebt geïnstalleerd, zul je er nog twee willen toevoegen en daarna nog twee, en dat is OK. De SPL-verslaving is echt!

KRACHT VAN PAPIER
We hebben het natuurlijk over de geperste papieren conus. De MAD PM2-64/84/104 is gemaakt om je favoriete muziek zo luid mogelijk af te spelen. We wilden deze midrange driver naar een hoger niveau tillen, dus hebben we een grotere (1,5") spreekspoel toegevoegd. Bij het testen van deze waanzinnige driver viel ons één ding op: voor die extra duurzaamheid moest de papieren conus verstevigd worden - en dat is gebeurd!

HET OP DE SPL-MANIER DOEN
Het kan beter dan met twee luidsprekers. Kom op! Meer is altijd beter en we willen dat je zo luid mogelijk bent. Om dit gemakkelijker te maken, hebben we twee vergulde aansluitingen op de luidspreker geplaatst. Dit maakt het gemakkelijker om een luidspreker aan je installatie toe te voegen, of een tweeter. De keuze is aan jou, maar zorg ervoor dat je een kickass bouw maakt waar GAS trots op zal zijn.

NEXT LEVEL LUID
Klaar om een standpunt in te nemen? De MAD PM2 midrange drivers zijn er om te blijven en om iedereen te laten zien hoe luid je kunt zijn. SPL is niet zomaar een paar midrange drivers en hoorntweeters die de buren in de buurt wakker maken, het is een levensstijl! Als je klaar bent om de volgende stap te zetten in de wondere wereld van SPL, dan is dit het product voor jou.

WE HEBBEN SPL GOED LATEN KLINKEN
Groter is beter, zo is het gewoon. De grotere en krachtigere magneet creëert drivers voor het middenbereik die HEEL VEEL geluid kunnen produceren. Als je die volumeknop tot het maximum gaat aanzwengelen, wil je dat het goed klinkt. Speciaal hiervoor hebben we een koperen kortsluitring toegevoegd die de vervorming verlaagt, omdat we om je oren geven! SPL is een levensstijl zoals we al zeiden, dus zodra je je eerste paar PM2 hebt geïnstalleerd, zul je er nog twee willen toevoegen en daarna nog twee, en dat is OK. De SPL-verslaving is echt!

De keuze is aan jou, maar zorg ervoor dat je een kickass bouw maakt waar GAS trots op zal zijn.

In Zweden hebben we de uitdrukking "Lagom" voor wanneer dingen in een matige hoeveelheid zijn. In dit opzicht is de MAX PMW1-64/84 luidspreker zo ver van Zweeds als maar kan. Hij is gemaakt om iedereen versteld te doen staan en je de echte MAX-ervaring van een hoger niveau te geven.

EEN SMELTKROES VAN ONTZAG
Deze midrange woofer geeft je alle prestaties die je nodig hebt. We hebben een waterafstotende conus (WRC), HQ ferrietmotor, spreekspoel van koperdraad, Kapton former en een koperen kortsluitring gecombineerd in één prachtige luidspreker. Met wat aanpassingen is het resultaat een product dat een waanzinnige hoeveelheid ontzag inboezemt. Wij noemen het de MAXimale geluidservaring!

WEK JE PASSIE VOOR COMPROMISLOZE AUDIO
Om de beste prestaties uit je geluidssysteem te halen, moet je jezelf uitdagen om nieuwe hoogten te bereiken! Met de MAX PMW1-64/84 ervaart u elk deel van het middentonenspectrum. Het is echt een opwindende midwoofer met een dynamisch en gedetailleerd geluid dat ook veel autoriteit biedt. Door gebruik te maken van slimme ontwerpkeuzes zoals een laag FS-ontwerp, een progressieve A3 NBR ophanging en een polykatoen/Nomex spider hebben we een luidspreker gecreëerd die zowel zal verrassen als indruk zal maken!

WANNEER ANDEREN HARD GAAN, GAAN WIJ HARDER
Je wilt die volumeknop harder dan 11 zetten en een luidspreker waarmee je helemaal los kunt gaan vraagt om twee dingen: stevige materialen en een cool ontwerp. De mand is gemaakt van staal met een aangepast M-ontwerp en we hebben industriële zandverf toegevoegd zodat hij er net zo goed uitziet als hij speelt. Ook cool is het DVS™ (Dual Ventilation System) voor minder vervorming en een betere warmteafvoer.

WE ZIJN NOG NIET HELEMAAL KLAAR
Je moet zorgen voor de dingen waar je van houdt, dus we hebben een zeskantige grill met een aluminium badge toegevoegd om je nieuwe favoriete speaker te beschermen. Als je goed kijkt, hebben we iets toegevoegd dat we een CD Crosshead terminal noemen. Dit is een oversized "Cable Direct" aansluiting. Hij is massief en er passen draden van maximaal 10 mm² (8 AWG) in! SPL is tenslotte een manier van leven, dus voeg meer luidsprekers toe aan je SPL-bouwwerk - je weet dat je dat wilt.
