In our SHX - STREET HIGH POWER series, however, there are various other improvements that make a clear difference. First we lowered the weight with an extravagant and vital membrane which is based on a combination of natural wool and glass fibers. This alone results in an improved resolution in the mid-range and after a certain break-in period ensures a proper attack in the foundation. Next, we increased the motor power through size and magnet material while expanding the magnetic field in parallel for improved controlled displacement. Since only "more power" is better than power, the voice coil impedance has also been reduced to 3 ohms. This is close to the limit of what good original radio systems can do in practice, but every type of amplifier also get requested a HIGHER of POWER, which our SHX then brings to the STREET in more audio. Finally, with our newly designed 2-way installer crossover with 3-stage tweeter level adjustment, also included in the SHX-5M/6M/8M, we can refer to another innovative new feature in the currently revised SHX 2-way version.
